1. 在表达两个或者两个以上的相似观念时，常用and放在最后一个观念之前。

   We drank, talked and danced.

2. and常用在阿拉伯数字百位和十位或个位中间，或千位和十位或个位中间，如two hundred and forty-eight，seven hundred and four, two thousand and fifty-two和eight thousand and seven。但and不用在千位和百位中间，能说five thousand four hundred,不能说six thousand and four hundred；
3. and在习惯上被认为不可以用在句首；
4. 当用两个形容词去描述一个物体时，通常不会用and去连接这两个形容词。
