HPLC yielded an average recovery and RSD of 100.07% and 1.42% for scopoletin, and 99.41% and 2.06% for umbelliferone, respectively, suggesting that HPLC is a simple, rapid and accurate method for quality control of Saussurea medusa Maxim.
