Currently, there are two main aspects in the research and application of IPD. One is the approach of process management; the other is the computer support technologies such as Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) and so on.

• 目前,IPD 研究与应用的主要内容包括两个方面:一是IPD过程管理理论和方法,二是IPD计算机支持技术,如计算机支持下的协同工作环境(CSCW)等,它们形成了集成产品开发环境(Integrated Product Development Environments,IPDEs)的两大基础。
