A hardware platform for vehicle borne video recorder is designed.The H.264/AVC video coding standard is adopted in the software part and the inter-mode decision algorithm is improved.

• 摘要设计了车载视频记录仪的硬件平台，软件部分采用H.；264视频压缩标准，针对车载视频记录仪的特点，对标准算法的宏块编码类型模式选择算法进行了改进，提出一种新的快速选择算法。
