The soil type in most of the downstream area is mainly fluvo-aquic soil accompanied with saline soil, cinnamon soil and brown earth, and along the area of estuary is mainly offshore saline soil.

• 黄河下游大部分地区主要为潮土类土壤，伴随有盐土、褐土和棕壤分布，河口两侧区域主要为滨海盐土。
