A HPLC method was established to analyze the impurities of potassium 4 chlorophenoxyacetate, the peak purity was checked by online HPLC/ESI/MS. The structure of the impurity was identified by ESI/MS, which is potassium 2,4 dichlorophenoxyacetate.
